Community Events

For its intimate size Vero Beach offers one of the best community experiences of any town in the nation. From cultural celebrations include Italian, Polish, and Irish American clubs and celebrations to hosting two fairs to welcoming world acclaimed artists, Vero Beach truly offers it all, without traffic.

This annual event, which takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving, combines fair style attractions and community designed and staffed food and game booths. All food and game booths are staffed by volunteers from the community and provide residents with homemade food such as hamburgers, fried dough, and Tacos. The four day event is attended by tens of thousands and has been a staple of the community for over 55 years.

The market is a common gathering place for many locals and is also frequented by many leashed dogs. The event also features local musical talent to accompany the fresh smells in the air.
